Making the Most of Aden Country Park

Project Description

The project aims to develop a five-year strategic plan for Aden Country Park to increase use and ensure sustainability of the facility.  An Officer will be employed for an 18 month period to carry out consultation in the community and with visitors to establish what priorities the community wish to focus on in development of Aden Country Park.  A detailed SWOT analysis has already been undertaken and the project will look to develop some of the innovative ideas raised.

On behalf of the Aden Country Park Working Group, we are delighted to have received this funding from LEADER.  Aden Country Park has been described as a "hidden jewel" in the Buchan area - this funding will allow us to appoint a member of staff to develop this asset, making full use of its rich cultural and environmental resources to improve and sustain it for future generations.
