Project Description
Birse Community Trust (BCT) promotes the common good of the inhabitants of Birse parish. BCT has a successful track record of community regeneration through development of community assets. The project relates to contribution towards the purchase and management of Balfour Wood. Timber from the woods will provide fuel for a biomass heating project serving community buildings and the local Finzean Primary School. This community regeneration project will contribute to the social and economic sustainability of the Birse Community which has fully supported the proposals.
