Macduff Pensioners Hall Car Park Improvements

Project Description

The Pensioners’ Hall is situated on a busy road in Macduff and current access provisions present severe difficulties for the wide range of age groups who use the facility.  The project will involve the creation of a new car park on unused land to the rear of the hall, allowing much improved access for wheelchairs, pushchairs, and elderly members of the community.

Douglas Finnie, Macduff Old Folks Association property convenor, said:

“Macduff Old Folks Association with the help of LEADER Funds will construct a car park which will allow citizens of all ages to arrive and leave the hall safely.  We are progressing the planning and other relevant documents so that the car park should be completed before the end of the year.

“Everyone has contributed towards the fundraising for the Buchan Street Hall Car Park venture through events such as concerts, coffee mornings, bus trips and annual celebrations like Christmas and Burns Suppers. Thanks go to LEADER funding, the hall committee, volunteers and the community for the success of this venture.  Also a special "thank you" to Sydney Mair.”
