Development of Boyndie Visitor Centre
Managed by:
The Boyndie Trust Ltd
Project Description
Boyndie Visitor Centre is a successful community run café/shop/museum in a rural area near Banff. It is a charitable trust and currently runs training courses and work experience for the unemployed and adults with learning difficulties. The centre is extremely popular as a tourist attraction and has plans to increase the floor space of the retail area as well as extending the garden centre operations. As well as providing more retail opportunities the project will also allow the Trust to deliver more training courses. As well as capital improvements to the centre, the project will create two new full-time posts.

Duncan Leece, General Manager of The Boyndie Trust Ltd
The Boyndie Trust is absolutely delighted to receive LEADER backing for developing and improving Boyndie Visitor Centre. It is a very successful facility and the changes we can now make will further improve it. Extra training areas will open new possibilities for us, but I imagine it will be the increased retail space and car parking that will be most noticed and welcomed by our many loyal customers.
