Project Description

GM Events and the Deeside Destination Management Organisation have formed a partnership to deliver a 3-evening event at Crathes Castle in the run-up to Christmas.  The event will be a light and sound display with the castle and its surroundings as the dramatic backdrop.  A food and drink marquee will enable a range of local food producers to showcase their products at the event, with sample tasting and cookery demonstrations.  The event will provide economic benefits for local businesses through increased footfall at the event.

Securing financial assistance from LEADER was a vital part of the funding package required for the Enchanted Castle project.  This combined with other public and private sector input will enable us to proceed on a sound financial basis.  LEADER’s contribution in terms of advice and support has also been extremely helpful in getting us to this stage in the project.
