Managed by:

North East Forest Education Initiative

Project Description

The Forest Education Initiative Group will work in schools or with community groups to encourage active involvement in woodlands.  Through the employment of a Forest Education Initiative Co-ordinator, the project aims to create sustainable woodland education projects in rural Aberdeenshire to raise awareness and increase the use of the woodland environment.  The project also aims to highlight the potential career opportunities that exist within the Forest industry and will develop links with the forest sector and communities.  The project will enable greater access to woodlands within communities by developing partnerships with both private and public bodies.
