St Ninian's & Forglen Kirk Development Project

Managed by:

Turriff St Ninain's & Forglen Parish Church of Scotland

Project Description

The project is a major restoration and modernisation of the St Ninian’s & Forglen Kirk, retaining its use as a Church whilst offering use of upgraded meeting accommodation with supporting audio visual facilities to a wide range of user groups.  A stairlift will be installed to access the upstairs rooms and three new toilets, two with disabled access, will be constructed.  The kitchen area will be expanded and modernised.  Extensive community consultation has been carried out with a survey resulting in an overwhelming response from local groups who would be interested in making use of the improved facilities.

Quote from Participating Organisation

Colin Milligan, Convener, St Ninian’s and Forglen Parish Church Development Project:

“I was delighted to hear of the support from LEADER towards St Ninian’s and Forglen Parish Church Development Project.  The funds will enable us to go ahead with the work which we expect will commence in early May.  The refurbishment of the Church building will allow us to provide facilities for many organisations and which we know will be appreciated by the whole community.”
