Monymusk Village Hall Development

Managed by:

Monymusk Village Hall Committee

Project Description

Following a LEADER funded feasibility study for improvements to the Monymusk Village Hall, a detailed specification identifying three main areas of work to be undertaken on the Hall was produced.

Following community consultation, the project is to improve energy efficiency, create improved storage facilities, renew the flooring in the main hall, provision of a disabled toilet and well lit car parking facilities to improve access for user groups.  The proposed works have full community backing and will return the Hall to the focal point of the community.

The Monymusk Village Hall Committee is delighted to have been awarded £97k of funding from LEADER towards its development proposals for the Village Hall.  The award of this funding is fantastic news.  As a direct result, we will now be able to commence work to improving the facilities for current and prospective users, whilst reducing energy costs.  After several years of fantastic community fundraising, with the contribution from LEADER, 2011 is going to be an exciting year as our plans are brought to reality to improve facilities and to secure the long term sustainability of the Hall.
